Nab and Cam

Fun time with Blaine Parkinson relatives and Nan at the wedding reception for Nabby Gaile and Cameron.  Nabby is Dil's youngest and Cam happens to be one of ERic's students this semester.  They both graduate this month.  He starts dental school in Nevada in the fall.

So glad Nan and I arrived at the very beginning.  Great entertainment from Nab, Cam and friends. They both play guitars and sing.  They with the help of friends told the story of their romance through songs--some originals.   Ricky, Nabby's brother did a hilarious act with two plain sox, one black and one white singing a duet from Phantom of the Opera.  Nan leaned over and whispered I wonder how he's going to do the duet.  The drama of the puppets, Rick's voice singing a baritone and then soprano and then very nearly a duet was really, really funny.  (Rick has finished his M.A. in architecture at the U and is working for the firm that built the new Inter-Mountain Hospital in Murray.)    With finals starting they served finals food:  doughnuts, bagels and cream cheese and other similar stuff.  The center pieces of the tables were stacks of books in themes with bowls of red licorice and M & Ms.  No tux, no traditional wedding gown--a lovely simple but dressy street-length white dress.  It really was fun.

Chatted with Blaine and Julia; Charlotte and Bob; Ben, Robin and Eden and Carlie, Matt and their little boy; Wendy and Devin; Marie, Wayne, Kali, Greg and his fiance.  Its so nice to have Uncle Blaine's "Know Your Cousins" book to come home to and know who I talked to or heard news of.

Dil and LB leave with BYU Arabic students for 4 months in Egypt next week the day after the wedding.  Hence the need to have the reception tonight before finals start tomorrow.  Dil and LB will miss the Reno reception.  Nab and Cam will have her parent's home to themselves till they move to NV for dental school and the rest of their lives.
