More Chick and FB stuff.

A Facebook thread of interest.

Pennie O'Neil Epperson made a unique request of her fb friends--post a memory of how they had met her.  So I did:

Your dad was our bishop in Hutchinson. We loved your family. Our daughter, Chris, liked you so much she named one of her baby chicks after you. You and your siblings were lots of fun in the ward. Loved your parents.

Pennie's response:
I remember the first day you and David came to our house. He later wrote me a beautiful letter telling me that I was the first person he met in Hutchinson. Chris was really special to me too. I remember how she loved to try on my shoes and one day she came over and washed my car together. I'll never forget her or you're wonderful family.

I appreciate Pennie's memories particularly at this time of year.  26th year anniversary Wednesday of Dad's passing.

Isn't it nice to keep in touch with friends!  I've benefited much from Facebook.  It was one of my BPL friends that first sent me an invitation.  I lurked in the background for about a year.  Now it has become a treasure of family and friends.

P.S.
Actually, I think she's thinking of Heather trying on her shoes.  Way out of character for Chris and way in for Heather.  Washing the car--yeah, that would be Chris.  But then again,  who am I to say.
